Single or double cabin
A single cabin is the whole cabin for one person, so the cabin price is what you pay. A double cabin has two berths and suits couples or two friends travelling together.
For two people, a double is the better value: the per person price in the tables is half the cabin price. If you are travelling alone and want the cabin to yourself, book a single.
Standard or Elite
Both classes are private cabins that lock from the inside, and both include dinner and breakfast served to you in the cabin. Elite cabins were refurbished in 2025, so the interior and bedding are newer.
Standard cabins are the same layout at a lower price. Elite cabins are also more reliably equipped with power sockets. For a special trip, Elite is worth it. For more on the train itself, see Watania or Abela.
Children’s fares
Children under 4 travel free and sleep in with a parent, with no ticket needed. Children aged 4 and over need their own ticket and their own bed, at the same price as an adult.
- Two adults and a toddler under 4: one double cabin
- Two adults and one child aged 4 or over: one double and one single, or two doubles
- Two adults and two children aged 4 or over: two double cabins
